i just had lots of fun doin the opti also.

i took the left fan off and was able to stick my head up there to see where the notch was rotated to on the block. give it a try.

try to keep moving it little by little and turning the opti when you try to slide it back on.

If you have alot of trouble, you can try to mark the location on the cloverleaf and the timing cover and eye it up the best you can. It isn't easy, and will require some patience. Eventually, you'll get it on.

And are you talking about the two bolts securing the coil to the head? They should be relatively easy to remove. Try some PB and a breaker bar if you can't get them out.

NO!

It needs to be fully seated against the block before it's bolted in. You'll know when it's ready to be bolted down.
