Angry meziere EWP leaking?

bought it used. i dont think that has anything to do with it though.
there are 2 holes on it. one on top and one on bottom. someone told me they are weep holes.?
anyway it seems to be getting better. but every time i turn the car off it leaks coolant for a few seconds (30 secs). i jacked the car up and turned it on and off and it didnt leak. once i took it off the jack and did it it started leaking. i watched it come outta the WEEP hole. i really doubt that that hole is there for that reason. so y is coolant coming out of it? and it dont do it while the car is running. but only after i turn it off.
please help, all suggestions welcome
TIA

There are no actual holes in the Meziere itself. The weep hole you speak of is cast into the water pump housing, and is located on the back of the water pump (only one hole). The weep hole is indeed there for a reason...when the pump bearings begin to wear, it starts to drip, letting you know that the pump is on it's way out (when driven by the cam; it serves no purpose when you install an electric pump). It is blocked off with a freeze plug that should be included with the pump. If it is leaking out of the weep hole, then the freeze plug is leaking.

Unless you can confirm that coolant is leaking around where the Meziere bolts to the water pump in the front? There should be an o-ring/gasket between the water pump housing and the electric pump mounting plate.

Re: meziere EWP leaking?

from what i gathered from your response, is that u took it that my stock WP housing is leaking from a weep hole. if i understood that right, that is not what is leaking. a hole in the bottom of the meziere ewp.

this is kinda the hole i am speaking of, but the one that is leaking is on the bottom of it. exactly parallel. in the same spot. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...zaro28/ewp.bmp

if it is still ?able where it is leaking from i will get a pic at work tomorrow.
