Mechanic says blown chain???

My chain snapped at 4500rpm in 2nd gear and resulted in no valve, head or piston damage. It did however bend 1 pushrod. I think I was pretty lucky and have since upgraded to an ED LT4 chain...ho and head the heads ported/polished/milled
