Ok i already have the spings on my heads and i have a hotcam with 1.65 ratio RR with puts it around .544 .544 well i wanted to upgrade to a CC503 but thats going to put me around .553 .561 is that to much lift for these springs i know on a CC306 comp calls for the 986-16 are any of you guys running a 1.6 RR with the CC306 1.6 RR and 986-16 springs that will kinda tell me if ill be ok.I know before anyone says it i should have got the beehive spings if i had it to do all over again i would have.Anyone with some info would be great

 

I run the 986 springs with 1.6 RRs and a CC306, had this setup for years now. Mine runs very well.

 

I take it no valve float and how high do you buzz it up??

 

I believe I peaked at 6100rpm. Reved on the dyno 'till 6800. My stock heads became a restriction above 6100, saw no evidence of any valve float though.
