Master Cylinder Problem
Master Cylinder Problem
I'm in the process of doing a 4L60E to T56 conversion, and I've discovered that my master cylinder is cracked. I dunno if I did it or it was like that when I got it (I bought a "kit" from Speed Automotive) but in any case I need to replace it.
So my question is, should I just get another stock one, or get the McLeod adjustable cylinder?
Also, does anyone have the part number for the GM cylinder?
It looks like the master, slave, and reservoir are all one piece, but I'm guessing from what I've read so far that you can take them apart. Is this so?
Thanks!

CAUTION
I just finished my swap, and the stock master cylinder rod didn't seem to extend far enough to fit on the pedal correctly. I currently have it rigged up on the pedal incorrectly (so that the rod gets pushed in some-what correctly) untill I can get an adjustable one. Might want to check to make sure it lines up correctly before you buy the stock, fixed one. Anyone want to sell me an adjustable??? I'm looking for one so that I can shift smoothly
