Manual steering rack - ??

Hey guys,

I shattered the rack and pinion on my car when I hydroplaned into a guardrail - awesome!!

Anyway, I was wondering, does anyone sell a manual rack for our cars? I have already removed the power steering and relo'ed the alternator some time ago. I figured rather than getting a new unpowered power rack, now would definitely be the time to switch.

If there is no manual rack, where the is the best place for a new or even used OEM rack/pinion?

Anyone?!

Thanks,
Brian

Ok, so I unearthed this little gem over at thunderracing...

Is this my only option? Summit has manual racks, but it doesn't seem like any for an LTX application....?

I bought the one from smithperformance.com and it has worked out well. I think pretty much every kit out there is using a Pinto rack and they come with different size u-joints. If you get this one I would ask for the bigger u-joints since the ones it comes with are really small and I don't know how long they will hold up in a street car.
