making your own intake gaskets...
i have a ported LT4 intake and heads... seeing as the front and back of our intakes are already soley sealed with sealant why couldnt i reliable just buy some gasket material and cut my own gaskets? im not trying to be cheap but if i can save 40 bucks here and 30 bucks there it adds up!

DIY doesn't = half assed
half assed DIY = half assed
My setup required a very thin gasket, so I bought a roll of .030" rubberized paper gasket material for like $4 and used a stock gasket as a template. My CNC'd ports are taller so I added some height in the middle (trace top, slide template down 3/8" then trace the bottom). They turned out nicer and fit perfectly after I trimmed inside the ports. I RTV'd the thin strand between ports so it doesnt blow out under vacuum/boost. No problems yet, probably won't be doing it any other way from now on.
