Making the ride nicer

Ok Im planning on making my car a little nicer and I was wondering what some of you have done to make the ride smoother, im thinking about dynamatting the floorpan to get rid of road noise and suspension noise and a few things to stiffen up the car so it feels even more solid than with the subframes on, but what about the driveshaft, anyone noticed the car to vibrate a little less when they put in a lighter driveshaft like an aluminum ls1? Anything else I can do to make it a nicer ride?

"Sell it and buy an LS1"

... would be the typical reply to a post like this.

Driveshaft won't really make a difference. You'd be amazed at what a difference dynamat will make. However, just a word of advice... DON'T use dynamat. It's like 3 times the amount that you'd pay for a similar, yet better product; such as breadboard.

I second that, just one layer of brown bread in my 94 has cut down road noise drastically.

Here's an idea.
I've never done it, nor heard of it done, but a layer on the inside part of the firewall seems like it would reduce engine noise tons!

Replacing the shocks can make the car feel more solid and surefooted (not necessarily harsher). If you are getting a lot of engine vibration try checking your motor mounts.

Shocks have been replaced and I may upgrade in the future, maybe an adjustable type, at idle the car shakes some, that normal or should it not shake at all. what about a tubular front k member would that make it feel more solid or would it feel more harsh not sure but it seems appealing.
