Mail in Tune
Mail in Tune
I currently have a mail in tune that was done by Ed Wright at Fastchip, I have since installed a Supercharger, Larger Injectors, Walbro fuel pump, Electric Waterpump, 3.73 Gears.
The question:
I checked with him about updating my computer program, he said it would cost me $150.00 + Shipping. So do I pay him and just have it done or Do I send it to Madz28 and have them do it where its the same price but updates are only $50 + shipping. Any input would be great...

Re: Mail in Tune
I agree about the dyno tune, however I cant get the wife to agree to me spending that much money, espicially after purchasing a Supercharger and all the other goodies that go with it. Unless you know someone that does Dyno Tunes for about the same cost in DFW, TX...
Re: Mail in Tune
That's why pre nups are so vital. You must specifiy, prior to ceremony that you are not to be questioned when it comes to spending money on your car to make it go faster. Of course, your future wife will, no doubt, insist on a clause which states that in the event that you have or get a camaro that it will be the ONLY thing you get in the divorce.
Re: Mail in Tune
Yeah I know but its alittle to late for the Prenup.. Anyone else got any opinion about this.. Has any one else used Fastchip? Was it as good as or the same as Madz28 or who should I use.. Just looking for some opinions.
Re: Mail in Tune
Mail order wise you can go with either, I would use Ion just for the cost reason because with a mail order you are going to have to send it back a coupl eof times to get it right and Ion does free updates for like a month or two after you purchase the original tune so you could get the tune and then log it and get some dyno time and then send it back for a free update. That's what I did. If you can save up a little money HPP in Lewisville will dyno tune it for $350.
