mail order 1994 z tunes

I need recomendations. I may just use the Hypertech III but I'm leaning toward LT1 edit if I can find a good tuner. What would be best for someone located nowhere near the USA?

http://madz28.com/ is another if you want a mail order tune.

Tunercat if you want to do your own tuning.

Neither would be dependent on where you live.

Don't waste your money on a Hypertech.

It would also be helpful if you posted some information about your car (even better if you put in a sig).

Ditto, hypertech is junk. I currently have a lifetime setup with pcm4less but Ion (Madz28.com) has always been very helpful and answered my questions even when i wasn't a customer. I maybe a customer of his in the near future though.

Here's my mods's

~1994 Z/28 Camaro A4 convertible~ LT4 corvette motor swap, 190 AFR Heads, Ported LT4 intake, 4.10 gears, 3500Stall Converter, Edelbrock Exhaust, Hooker Longtubes, MSD Ignition and wires, 175 shot NX Nitrous, Fully built bottom end, Underdrive Pulleys, MSD Wires, Comp Cams 230/244 .510"/.540" , Transgo shift kit, and NO TUNE

With a good tune from you what type of power do you think I can make with and without nitrous and how much for a street tune, 89 octane tune, Nitrous tune with 89 octane with Torco addative

Anyone using LT1 Edit?

I just had my pcm done by madz28 and he did a very good job. Give him an email and I'm sure he can help you figure out your options.

All those mods and no tune? You definitely need one.

Lots of people use LT1_edit. You would find more in the diagnostic/programming forum.

Tunercat is cheaper and does the same basic stuff.

Email or go to madz or pcmforless for prices.

Well I ordered my tune from pcm for less. I wanted to research and repair madz28 and pcmforless side by side but the madz website wouldnt work for me a couple of hours ago and I didnt feel like waiting. I spoke with a Bryan from pcmforless and he seems to be pretty cool so I look foward to seeing his skillz.
After researching LT1 edit and tuner cat I see there is no way I could use either without blowing my car up meaning user error. Thanks for the advise guys.
Does anyone know what horsepower level I should be at?

I have been dealing with Bryan from PCMforless for about a month on a tune and retune and finetune on my car. Class act, and doing really well. He damn near hit the tune on the head to start, and now we are just working some bugs out of it. Well worth my money!

I forgot to ask him about retunes. If the tune still needs to be tweeked he sends it to you email? Also if I change the tire size and diameter and get a bigger maf will I need a retune?

IMO opinion aftermarket MAF's are not worth it. Not to mention it makes it a great deal harder for them to do a mail order tune.

So what do you recommend? I know for my Mustang, getting a better maf made tuning alot easier. Also it seemed like the stock maf on a 96-98 pegged out easy under boost so most of us went to a Lightning maf which is a little bigger than stock and we gained some power from the switch. How much horsepower does it take to pegg out a 94 screened maf and do you think I should descreen it?

I also used PCMforless for my heads/cam swap and am very pleased. Bryan hit the tune dead on, but my setup is fairly common. I had the car dyno tuned and only picked up 3HP, the A/F ratio was perfect across the board. I was told by the dyno shop that they won't even tune cars that have aftermarket MAFs becasue they are so hard to work with, the stock unit will be fine.

Don't descreen or modify it.
