Magnaflow

I plan on putting the Magnaflow system on my Z. Is this a good choice?

Had the magnaflow 3" catback. Sounds incredible and is very resonably priced for a stainless setup.

Magnaflow

I recently put Magnaflow 3" cat-back on my 93' Z, and it is awsome. I love the way it sounds.

Ive had mine for well over a year and love it. Still looks and sounds great.

A friend of mine had the hanger weld break and they offered to replace it for free! So they really stand behind their products!

Best kept exhaust secret out there. It really looks like a $400+ exhaust. Had mine for over a year also and I can still see my reflection in the stainless muffler. I really dont understand the debate between Hooker/Flowmaster and Magnaflow in that price point/range? Magnaflow is it. Got mine on EBay for $245.00.

I've had mine on almost a month now and I love it. Looks great and sounds even better. Definitely get it off eBay, there's a guy that sells them around $340 shipped, I think.

My only gripe with it is that it drones a little bit in the cabin right around 2k RPMs, which is right around normal acceleration for me, so it gets kind of annoying. After about 2250 though, it stops resonating and actually quiets down a bit before getting louder. But, I love how it sounds, especially from outside the car.

Ahh I have to admit they sound better than they are fast .

So some of ya really like Magnaflow on the LT1.I gotta wonder if it sounds better on the LT1 verses LS1?I have the magnaflow catback on my 99 Z28 I gotta say it just isnt the idle and thru 2k rpms sound I wanted cept for when you really open here up then it'll start to whaaail woff woff.At first yeah I really liked it till I got the LT1 and ripped the catback off whooooaaa Lt1s just sound better I think now that I own both lt and ls.
So I was wondering since LT1 sound better IMO that maybe they make the magnaflow sound really good

Yes get it off eBay. No don't pay over $280. Email one (or both) the main Magnaflow sellers on eBay, and ask for their best price including shipping and without any "free" items (like the high flow catalytic converter).
They'll probably tell you $280. That's what I bought mine for about 6 weeks ago.

And for me, there really wasn't any other choice. I needed a sub $350 system, and needed stainless. I enjoy mine.

I'd say it is the best bang for the buck out there in a catback..... leaps and bounds better than Hooker (but then again what isnt better than Hooker ).... stainless steel construction for an aluminum system price

Im a big fan of both hooker and magnaflow. Hooker gives it that great chambered muffler sound that screams above 3k rpm. The magnaflow also sounds amazing. Spintech is a great system too. You also cant go wrong with the SLP 2OTL system.

Spintech
Magnaflow/Hooker
SLP 2OTL
Borla (you can make a badass setup with an electric cutout in place of the plate)
Corsa (too damn expensive)
Flowmaster (all sound, pretty restrictive)

Everyone always dogs flowmaster because of their catbacks, but the best LT1 ive ever heard had flowmasters and it ran low 11s. It was a true dual setup with series 10 single chamber mufflers. It sounded AMAZING!!

i have the magnaflow and i love mine. my first mod and it was a hell of a bang for the buck. cant beat the polished stinaless steel muffler and 3.5 inch slash cut tips. they look awesome. the i-pipe and s-pipe is all stainless steel as well as the clamps also! i got mine over a year ago and still looks excellent. all you have to do is wipe down the tips, muffler an dit looks brand new. like a mirror. cant go wrong with it especially for the price. a lot of people say its quiet and isnt very loud and i think mines loud. my stepdad has a 94z with the flowmaster catback american thunder and he even likes mine he said its even louder than his. makes me feel good . it is loud and deep imo. deeper than some exhausts i have heard for the lt1. let us know what you go with.
