Re: Maf translator
i don't think many people on here use them too much since tuner cat is only $90 and you can do so much more with it... But if you want to try it out i would recomend reading up on it and puting it on a dyno with a wideband o2. Get a baseline and go from there untill the a/f is where you want it.
Re: Maf translator
A knowledgable b-body guy swore by these things with his 11 second heads/cam/spray car then one way or another he was convinced to try a pcmforless tune and went .3 faster with traction becomming a problem again where it had been deadhooking. A Translator is a halfassed tool that should only be used on vehicles where you can't access the pcm much less access it as cheaply and easily as you can on the LT1 vehicles.

Looks like the OBD2 version with definition file is $380 this will allow you to not just play with fueling but rev limits, spark, in an A4 shift points and TCC lockup, believe it can be of help with CAGS in an M6 car etc.
Depending on whether emmisions testing is a concern a lot of us swap to OBD1 pcms for cheaper tuning and logging software, some tuners find more power in OBD1 as well though I don't understand how.
