MAF "sensor" Only

The "MAF" on our cars has the sensor sandwiched between two metal pieces. Is it possible to just get a new sensor without the housing to save on cost?
I'm considering replacing my MAF, cleaning it hasn't done much good.

1. Can we just get the sensor portion, calibrated to the stock tables?
2. What aftermarket/non-stock MAF's can we use, that use stock tables?
3. What aftermarket/non-stock MAFS can we use, that use non-stock tables, and where can these non-stock tables be found?

I have no problems reprogramming, I just need to know what the "tables" are if anyone could point me in the right direction there.

From searching I've found that the Z06 is an option, but needs to be calibrated, if can get my hands on the tables i just might go for it. The same goes for the Grantelli, but it appers to be debatable wether its stock calibrated or not. It would be great if someone could clear up the confusion i'm having here *Crosses his fingers the local board PCM tuners will be willing to possibly give out some information*

Re: MAF "sensor" Only

You can replace just the sensor but most people sell the whole maf complete. Also it would be hard to ship the sensor only with out the ends on it. Most people say aftermarket MAFs don't really help. If you were pushing close to 500rwhp it might be worth upgrading to the Z06 maf or something but with your set up just get a stock replacement mafs. Any MAf out of a 94-97 LT1 Fbody will work. Note LT1 mafs out of Caprices and roadmasters will not work.

Re: MAF "sensor" Only

I have the tables, and had them posted here for a while... I can still e-mail them to you... send me an e-mail and I'll shoot the spreadsheet over to ya...

The tables that I have were taken from an '02 Z06 Vette, and interpolated such that it will work with the LT1 PCMs.

The proce of the GM Z06 MAF is cheaper than most other alternatives, but some people have said they have problems with it; although i have no idea why, I've been running one on my car for 3 years now...
