MAF screen removeal

dose this gain horsepower and dose it make a diffrence or hurt the engine at all??

Don't know about any real gain, but I did it on my 94'Z28 and didn't have any problems whatseover.

I would not recommend doing that. They put that there for a reason. It is suppose to straighten out the air flow and give the MAF a better reading of air flow.

well, I have done it, didn't find a problem. I bought an aftermarket one and it doesn't even have a screen. It probably is useless, just like the big donky dong on the intake elbow.
