And also descreening it? Is this a wise decison? I have seen after market MAF's that are descreened and ported and say 10-15 hp gain?

Leave them alone, if they arent a restriction for me they arent a restriction for you.

for all of you who think that ported mafs, descreened mafs, or z06 mafs make any real power gains on a less than 400 (probably more than that) rwhp car.............well...........ive got some oceanfront real estate in colorado to sell you.

I've been running a set of ported MAF ends on my car for about 5 years now and never realy had a problem. I live in Hawaii and the weather conditions are pretty much the same all year around. I have a set of untouched ends screen and all, I'll put them on next time I go out to the track and see if it makes any differance.

Thats cool! Let me know, it seems like the difference would be very small anyways maybe 1hp lol.

I'll post it...just be looking for it. I'll run the car this month, but I need to fix my intake leak first. I may go on the 19th or 26th.

85mm Z06 MAF conversion will give you ~4 rwhp over stock 74mm MAF....is the $150 worth it? You decide...

I say you should take all you can get...

oh really?..............how many times did you dyno test this? on how many different cars, at what level of mods ?

its simple logic..............if your stock MAF is not a restriction.............then getting a bigger MAF will not give you any more power. the stock maf flows enough for over 400 rwhp, so unless you are in the 450+ rwhp range, its not going to do a thing.

if you are unable to understand that, then i feel bad for you.

In fact this has been dyno'd partna...on a few cars at a small business in Houston....

Just like I stated before, of course it all depends on what other mods you have done.

Your sheer cockiness isn't necessary. Try dropping the machismo attitude and responding again
