Eh, I've heard a LOT of mixed results...
If you can program or are going to get your car programmed, you can use a GM Z06 MAF with an adapter pigtail from Ramchargers. This way you can go to any GM dealer and get a replacement if it ever fails again, not to mention I believe they're only like $100; or at least it was when I put mine on in the spring of '02.
