Maf?

Whats the beneifit of having a MAF sensor my 93 didnt have one but my 97 does? Do i need it?

You don't need it, it'll default to speed density mode if unplugged. Use it unless you can't (i.e. 600hp+).

The advantage of the MAF sensor is that it allows the PCM to respond to reasonable changes that improve engine breathing (e.g. - CAI, exhaust improvements, 1.6x RR's, etc), without having to reprogram the 93's speed-density system for improved volumetric efficiency.
