Which maf for 383??

Motor is all together fellas, 10.8:1 383 w/ s3 H/C. Should I stick with the stock maf or go to a bigger one??? I have a tuning appt for next week and need to know. Its going to be an all motor setup. Some people have said get the granatelli, get the zo6, and some said stay with the stocker. I'm confused! I'm also running a bbk 58mm tb and using the factory LT1 SS ram air setup.

Thanks!

Keep the stock one. NO need for a aftermarket one. We did a dyno test of the stock one versus the Z06 MAF, I lost power and the A/F ratio went lean. Not worth the money IMO.

I'm talking tuned vs tuned. I can understand a maf swap without a new tune causing the car to not run right, but assuming it would be tuned after the swap it may account for some HP? Again i'm running some hogged out heads and a 383, w/ a big tb. If the stock maf flows enough than great! But I dont want to lose HP because I overlooked the last component when I have upgraded everything else.

Stock should be good.... if you feel like you NEED to upgrade use the GM Z06 and re-program your PCM for the correct Flow Vs Freq curve (E-mail me if you need it), You can get the adapter cable from Ramchargers. Do NOT use the "modified" Grantenelli "Z06" version... there have been some serious issues with cars loosing HP, and running like crap with them... not to mention no one really knows what the correct table is for that MAF.

I've been running the GM Z06 MAF since the spring of '02 with ZERO issues with the correct table programed in the PCM.

The stocker will work fine, especially if it's descreened.
