Is the MAF supposed to make a loud sucking noise while the car is running? Mine does this, and I've had problems with the MAF before, and am just wondering if my MAF is going bad.

 

Your MAF shouldn't make any noise, the engine might be sucking in enough air to make that noise though. If you have the air box or CAI taken off then sure, you will hear a sucking noise. One way to tell if your MAF is going bad, if you are really concerned about it, is to start up the car, and while it's idling, just tap a screw driver on top of it. If the idle jumps around when you tap it, something is loose or messed up, if nothing happens, you are good to go...
