what wire for the air bag light? ANYONE!

Hey I had seen a post about getting rid of an air bag light that you had replied to. You said to cut the thick brown wire, do I have to wait for the battery to reset the CPU or is that a direct wire to the light? Meaning will it go out as soon as I cut it.

PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!

Rich

Yep, it's a direct wire to the air bag light. It will go away right away and forever. Might wanna cut it so you have enough room to connect it back together sometime if need be.

By the way, just looked in my manual and the cavity for this wire is "B1". So it will be on one of the 4 corners of the connector.

...or just remove the pin from the connector.

Hmmm... are you sure you're working on the right connector?
The module is a silver shiny box behind the glovebox on the right side (near the wall). There's one big connector going into it and the cavities are labeled. Disconnect that big connector and there will be a brown wire in one of its corners. (like I already said, cavity B1) This is the wire you need.

That's why you don't cut wires.

I hope you weren't cutting them out of the PCM.

Alright heres my update. Hopefully heading in the right direction? On the right side I found 2 little silver boxes, 1 contains smaller wires and the other has thick wires. They both have brown wires in the corners but I could not see any B1? If one of these is the right box, I dont see any markings showing what each cavity is. Let me know if Im getting warmer with this thing.

It looks like I could just pull the wires out of the boxes and reconnect later?

Thanks again guys,
Rich

ME again
I pulled the silver connectors out and on one side it says A B C. B is in the middle row but there are no wires to the middle row, only the 2 outside rows? Again there are brown wires on each of the silver connectors and they are both on corners. One is thick and the other connector has small wires. Damn it, I will figure this out at some point
Like usual, your time and feedback is appreciated,

Rich
