Mac mids and true duals???

I have mac mids with no cat and slp loudmouth and it sounds like crap. It sounds great at idle and good at WOT but other then that it sounds horriable. So i was thinking of getting true duals but i dont know how that would work with mac mids? Anyone ever done this? If so what did you use?

Re: Mac mids and true duals???

I had that exact same setup on my LS1. You're right, it did sound like ****. Not sure if it's the same sound since you've got an LT1, but I had an awful raspy sound at about 3k. I ended selling my LM and buying an adj. Borla catback, then I had to use the full blockoff plate to force all the exhaust through the muffler and it sounded much better after that. I wouldn't recommend the Borla though, I thought it was a waste of money after I realized I couldn't use the open plates. Well I guess I could've used them at the track, but I never did. So anyway, you can do true duals if you want but really all you need is a catback with a REAL muffler. IMO, LM's are only good for cars w/o headers or maybe cars with headers that also have a cat.
