mac mids or jet hot lt's
I think across the entire torque curve, hands down long tubes win. However, with the shorty's, at a higher rpm, like around 5750rpm plus, they may become a bit of an advantage.
This is a reason why Formula One engines run primary lengths of like 17"-23" or so, and they make ungodly power for being a N/A 3000cc engine, make almost 900hp.

Larnach i dont know anything about what u posted on...
But when i switched from short tube headers to long tubes they felt the same in teh low/mid range but up top I could really feel them.
It makes sense to me that they'd flow better up top when the shorties couldnt scavenge as well.

Actually the shorties should be better up top, while the lts should be better on the bottom, but the longtubes would be better overall just because they help out on the bottom a lot while not losing much up top (compared to shorties). I would always get lts, if space allows. Problem is it's just a pita for most people. I'll probably be getting headers soon, and I dread it. I'll probably just get the AZ S&Ms just because it says there is no engine movement required...
Since I read Car Craft like it's the bible, here's some real theory done with dyno testing if you're really interested:

Yeah, I know, I've posted that link before, but I think it's pretty good...
