MAC Headers/Y-Pipe & Cat

what should I do about a cat for my MAC Headers/Y-pipe? Should I take it to an exhaust shop and have my old cat welded onto the MAC Y-Pipe and be done with my forever-and-a-day project, or which cat should I purchase aftermarket wise (not looking to spend $300 on a cat)....

I never heard of this "car sound" and I just did a search and didn't find it on ebay. anyone else? right now I'm leaning toward having an exhaust shop weld my old cat onto the MAC y-pipe..is that a bad idea?

Actually, Im not sure that anyone will put on an old cat. If I am informed correctly, once a cat comes off a car, it cant go back on, at least by a shop anyways. There are always acception to the rules. It wouldnt be a bad idea to just go ahead and replace the cat anyways. Good luck with everything.

very true, its also illegal to remove them before 50k miles on the car. and the only way to legally remove them is to have them checked by a professional. but most shops will say they were rattling or broken any way. but it would be useless to put the stock cat on an aftermarket eshaust cuz they cant handle the lack of backpressure any way. i put on a catback, and my cats are shot after 500 miles
