Mac exhaust tick tick tick???

Does anyone else have the infamous lifter tick after installing headers? For the life of me I know it is not an exhaust leak since all bolts are solid tight? it is only on the passenger side too...I'm worried that my pcm might think it's knock and start retarding the timing and I lose power instead of gain it??

If this just occured after a header install it's most likely an exhaust leak. Headers don't have any effect on the lifters so there's no reason to think they're directly related. Most likely your flange is warped or your gasket is torn.

that ticking means that you have a leak in the exhaust manifold. i had the same problem, then i went out and bought a set of ultraseal gaskets and some nice bolts, and the ticking went away. about $20 for the gaskets from autozone. take care of that leak before something worse happens, like a fire because of a burned coil wire (i have seen it happen).
