M6guys, no clutch when putting into nuetral?

Do you guys push the clutch in while going from gear to nuetral or do you just pull it back? Ive always used the clutch when throwing the car into nuetral but my buddy at the track said he never does.

Is it alright to not use the clutch when going to nuetral on the T56?

I've always used it. But I have heard of people not. I'd assume its fine not using it, but I don't find it any easier then just pushing in the clutch. Personal preference I guess.

I use mine....may not cause any problems if no pressure is on gear box at the time but I wouldnt make a habit of it.

Its okay to pull the car out of gear into neutral without using the clutch, especially at a low rpm.

Just don't ever do it with the cruise control on or you'll be in for one hell of a surprise. Try it and you'll see what I'm taking about

If your rpms are matching the speed you are moving then it wont hurt anything.

Once you get it going in first gear you can move through the rest of them without touching the clutch. No harmfull side effects, unless maybe you force it into a gear.

Actually, you don't need the clutch for anything except 1st and reverse.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I don't think it is really good for the synros in the tranny.

If you don't speed match the gears, you put excess wear on the syncros by shifting witout the clutch. IMO, there is really nothing to gain by not using the clutch-just use it.
