AS&M or rk sports?

I have found RK sports headers for 450 brand new , are the AS&M worth the price differnce? What are the quality of rk sports compared to the AS&M's.

AS&M have a better ceramic coating and Exhaust port matched D shaped primaries. Unless you get a good deal on AS&M's, RK's are about the same thing for less.

Re: AS&M or rk sports?

Hey, well i can't really comment on the RK sports headers but i can say a little something about the AS&M ones. I have them now and am impressed by the gains from them. Obviously better than manifolds. But i have to say that plug and wire access sucks!!!! Mine are mids and they are rusting also....my car domain sight shows a picture of the driver side (which is better than passenger: page 2). Its your call though, but plugs 6 and 5 (i believe) are wicked hard to get to and extremely close to the header. Good luck with the purchase, sorry if this steers you away.

Re: AS&M or rk sports?

I just put on my AS&M headers and I really havn't noticed an extreme difference in performance. It may be a combination of my collector vibrating against my body causing false knock (I have the LT4 KM) or it may all be in my head. They are quality pieces and I have to say plug access is a HELL of a lot better than manifolds!! They may not be as good as Mac's but just about any header is going to be better than manifolds.
