LT's over Shorties?????

LT's over Shorties?????
Just have a real quick question.. I noticed almost everyone on this board is running some type of LT's on their ride.. my question is... What kind of difference would it make on my car to swap to LT's from the BBK shorties that I have now? Thanks as usual!

I switched from BBK shorties to the Hooker LTs along with alot of other work and my MPH has not increased like I thought it would. The dyno did not even bare out the increase i was hoping for...
