LT4 valves vs Manley Race

Just curious if I had a choice between the two (if they cost you the same) which would you go with?

I searched but came up with nothing...

Thx

I personally would go with the manely race flo valves. But i doubt you see any gain between the 2 kinds. There are only a very few cfm to be had.

Aren't LT4 valves smaller? Or do they come in 2.02 and 1.56?

Which company makes the sodium filled valves like the LS6 ones?

The Lt4 valves are 2.0 and 1.55 and I think the exhaust is sodium filled and the intake is hollow.

I don't think manely makes 2.0/1.55 valves just 2.02/1.6?

But hey I've been worng before????

Here's a link to the sizes available for the LT4:

http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...tart&catid=870

Here's a link to the prices and sizes of Manley Race valves:

http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...rchtype%3Decat

So 2.0/1.55 for LT4 and 2.0/1.56 for Manley Race

I've searched and 2.0/1.56 is the largest valves that will fit in stock seats.

A local LT1 shop keeps telling me 2.02/1.60 won't fit in the LT1 heads even with new seats... What say you?

I say you find a new shop.

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=19001

2.02 Manley Intake valves.

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=19042

1.60 Manley Exhaust valves. (grind them down to 1.56)

I'm thinking 2.0 Intake to fit in modified stock seat and 1.60 in new seats. The reason I want to do this is NITROUS!!! Those valves along with a good port/polish and the 224/236 Nitrous cam should make some great power I would think...

I already run a 175HP shot on my stock iron heads. I'm shooting for a 250 shot with the new heads and cam...

Opinions concerning valve size/cam relationship and HP of nitrous...

Manley makes 2.00 int and 1.56 exhaust. I have fit 1.60 in the stock reground exh seat and 2.00 in the stock reground intake seat, the valves were about a mm apart.
