I put the valve cover on the heads with out grinding out any supports. I have not bolted them down, just placed them over the RR till they sat on the head. I don't have a lot of room to slide the cover from side to side or forward and back.

I have seen the post on grinding the supports out but I am wondering if I need to or not since they don't seam to be bottoming out on anything. I don't want to grind tham down if it is not needed. Has anyone else had this happen to them recently? I don't know wether or not I shold grind them?

 

I didn't have any clearance problems with mine. Everything fit fine.

 

I know of several people that haven't needed to grind them out, though I would just to be safe.

 

I went to ace and got some washers but Im still not getting a tight seal around the cover. I bought 1/4 by 1 inch washes and I probably should of got the washer to fit over the stud to make it work the way I need it to.

No I have to have a threar repaired because the stupid hole was to shallow and I tightend it enought to mess up a threar or to at the bottom. I'm wondering how hard it would be to drill and tap the hole for the correct lenght? Any one know?

 

LT4 valve covers have more clearance I believe.

The LT4 covers fit over my CC1.6 rr. No modification necessary.
