LT4 Valve Covers

Whats the best place to get some LT4 valve covers? I really like the way that they look when you add the MBA trim pieces to them, it dresses up the covers real well.

I paid 200 and a little from Dal at lockitup@bright.net. Here's a site on what's needed.

I would highly recommend getting a Corvette PCV hose. The fbody isn't the best fitting since the PCV gromment is on the top as oppose to the side on the composite valve covers.

just curious, but what are the advantages to the LT4 valve covers. I know they are composite, but what advantages does this provide?

My car deserved the $5 Corvette PVC hose.

Another advantage, from what I've read, is that you will get less oil coming back into the TB because the 90* plastic grommet is on the side of the valve cover, instead of the top, as in the stock LT1.

Why do you need oil in the throttlebody?

Keeps it from rusting. Just kidding. Seems like everybody gets some oil vapor that gets back into the top of the TB under the top cover, the one that some have logo's on. Some put a filter between the valve cover plastic grommet and the TB which I have read works quite good. I remember Shoebox saying that because the grommet on the LT4 valve covers is on the top side instead of in the middle, as with the LT1's, there is less dendency for this occurrence.

I did say that. I need to add, that I later found that the [cut to fit, original factory]hose was not keepin the elbow as tight as I wanted (now do you see the need for the Corvette hose? ) . So...I am not absolutely sure that this was causing lack of oil in the TB or because of the location of the elbow as mentioned before. As soon as I get my car back together and running again, I will report back (I have a new Corvette hose to put on it, now).
I really do think it is more due to the location in the valve cover, though.

So it wasn't keeping the elbow as tight as you thought it should. That would mean it was going on the firewall, better than the TB, right.

Ok, nothing I have to worry about, mine is disconnected anyway. It's not a good thing to supply 7 psi of boost to the valve cover.
