LT4 valve cover gasket stretched a full inch !!
I pick it up and it is hanging off the cover and I cant get it back on because it is now way too long. WTF ? What can I do now ?

Mine does that too! I don't know why. Just try to get it back on by distributing the extra slack evenly all around.
Last time I had the covers off I was careful not to let the gasket come out, so it went back on with no problems. It's weird how it gets longer/shorter.
