Hey guys i have a 383that i just picked up and it was supposed to have a cc306 cam with the correct springs and when i started going through the paper work i found out that it had a LT4 Hot Cam kit in it. So now im redoing the motor and going to put the 306cam in it just wondering if i need to change the springs im running a 1.6rocker

YES. go with a spring with a minimum of .600" lift

.525" I believe, the springs anyways.

i know that cmotorsports.com sells the EX612 springs that are good to .600" lift. these come with retainers and locks for ~$110 and require no machining to fit.

 

Thanks a lot I just picked the car up and getting ready to put back on the road cause some stupid kid over reved the motor cold and all the bearings are wiped but thats the best cause i got a real good deal
