LT4 single plane conversion questions

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-29135/

Would this intake work to convert a LT4 over to single plane intake? What other modifications would be nescessary to the intake to make it compatible with the Reverse flow heads. This would be on a 383 with 217 cc AFR LT4 heads. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Eric L

Contact Bret Bauer, bret@bauer-racing.com . He can do the conversion. I just got mine back from him this week.

He removed the front water passage and welded holes. welded up bolt holes and redrilled for LT1 at correct angle and location with a seat for bolt head. You can contact him for pricing.

If they are labled LT4, I would assume that means they have the raised runners. So wouldn't you need to weld material to the port floor?

Hey, you got a pic of that intake? I might be doing a similar mod on my 396 LT1 in our 71' Nova SS. I just want it to look nice and neat..for show and go..

I used that same intake. Did all the work myself have less than $450 in the entire thing

6089wally Bret does good work, built me a super Vic back in the day that was over $1600 though, live and learn I guess. Figured he would slick out the back as well though? You going to port that thing too?

Yes it will get ported but not right now. we have a deadline to get it running. He left the back of the intake stock since I am using carb and distributor.. I will take pic of engine bay. It looks good in there with all the trimming we did.

pics of finished engine

here are the pics of the finished engine and also the windshield cut out. The car will have a VFN 6" cowl hood on it to cover the cut out.
