The LT4 rockers are Crane Golds, and like most rockers, will require minor trimming of the inside of the valve covers. It is always best to check for clearance regardless of the brand of rocker you put on.

The LT4 rockers are very similar to the Crane golds BUT GM made them shorten up the stud slot which makes them lift limiting and if you ever decided to step up to a real cam they may no longer work for you.

The TRUE OEM LT4 rockers were for a metric stud, the GMPP ones are for a 3/8" stud.

IMO go with something else and upgrade the studs to 7/16" and a rocker that wont limit lift as low as the LT4 ones. Little more cost now but LOTS of money saved if and when you decide to upgrade again.

Most narrow body rockers (like the LT4s) clear the inside of stock valve covers without modification.

They might be clearing I had the covers back off and there were no marks anywhere… they were set right and checked again… any chance they're just noisy

Roller rockers are naturally noiser in my experience. I believe its just the roller tips moving that makes the noises.

Set them again still making noise but only after it runs for a minute. Revs fine and idle is smooth. I did wonder about a/m push rod guides? Could they be moving and making noise? And do they even make them for LT engines ? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
