LT4 KM in.....results
LT4 KM in.....results
Well I just put my KM in and I must say that after driving my car around for like 15 minutes, it seemed to run a lot better. The install was very easy. The only PITA was pulling out the computer, I had to take off the shocks that hold the hood up for more clearence. I'm dyno'ing this Saturday, so I'm gonna see what the KM, air foil and cutout will do....
Or maybe if I'm desperate for some HP I'll add some decals

Glad you got it, man, what a pain of a time you had! You really felt a difference, huh? I didn't but, it was more of a thing to have it there when I do the headers. Didn't want to freak out "What's wrong!?!?!?"
Anyway, let us know what you gained of the mods.

I think the LT4 KM is a must for anyone with any mods to there exhaust or valvetrain.
When my car was w/ no cat, I was getting 10 degrees knock retard constantly above 50% throttle. I put on my new exhaust and the LT4 KM, and no more problems. The car seems to pull smoother to the redline.
For the guy who asked what it does, it's a part that recieves information from the knock sensor and determines what is done according to that info. Basically, the LT4 knock module is more refined to determine what is real knock, not false knock from noise such as a loud exhaust or loud valvetrain. The Lt4 engine had rollerrockers, so that's probably why GM had to refine the knock module. So, if your engine is louder than stock in anyway, and you are getting knock readings, chances are that it is false knock and you will benifit from the LT4 KM.

I heard that it was about $35.00. email gmparts@samtaylor.com and talk to him about it.
