LT4 KM and GMS MAF sensor. Holy crap!!!

Installed a new LT4 KM and a brand new GMS Maf sensor, then took her for a ride. I don't think it is just wishfull thinking, but it seems like a have ALOT more pick up, esp. in higher RPM's and gears (4-6th) I was being **** and wondering if I wasted money on the Maf sensor, but figured what the he!!, I won't know if I don't get it. Seems to me that these two, or at least one has really made a difference. I don't think I had any knock retard before, but it seems the motor revs and sounds alot more smooth now. Maybe just in my head, along with all the voices?
I do seem to have a noise now, like a hissing, or blowing (sounds exactly like I'm running a supercharger) for a split second when I rev up, and as the motor shuts down. Only lasts split second every time. NO hesitation though, and runs about as strong as it ever has since I got the car. Just in time for summer!

Where can I get knock module from? And about how much does it cost and is it very hard to put this in? I am interested in putting this in my car. What about the MAF sensor how much is this?

The regular GMS Maf. When I wanted to get it, I didn't know enough about the ZO6 Maf at the time, so I just got the regular one. Your SIG doesn't say so, but do you have a ZO6?

Yeah, havent updated my sig. I have the ZO6 MAF and BBK 52mm TB. I only took the car out once since the install for a 5 minute ride. The car pulled hard as usual, tough to tell the gains. It does lay rubber into 3rd gear now. Dyno numbers in a month on the 2 new mods .

Yeh, seemed to pull very hard (more than before) in 3 and esp. 4. Actually, I had to let off of third as I went through the gears coming off a stop light, on a cold day. The rear started to go where I didn't want it, along with the tach. This surprised me, never had to hang on that hard in mid 3rd before. And that's with good street tires and pretty good traction. Yeh right. Needless to say, I no longer lay awake at night worrying about the money I spent on the new MAF. To me, the difference I felt was worth it. Guess that's what it's about.

seeing that you have full exhaust i bet it was the LT4 KM that did most of the work in boosting your power. Full exhausts seem to add alot of false knock.

By full exhaust do you mean headers and no cat? I thought the KM might make a difference, but popular thought was that I wouldn't really see a difference, unless I had a significant retard to begin with. Since I don't really have a scanner or anything like that, I just didn't know what I had. My car is pretty loud both in the engine bay and at the tailpipes. Anyway, goes to show if you want a certain bolt on, do it if you can afford it. Sometimes you don't know what your missing.

When i had a stock car the LT4 KM was the first mod i did and it was noticable then. The first time i hooked up a scanner to my car with just a catback and LT4 km i would pull alot of knock on shifting i can't believe what it would be with out one.

to 94 1le's

and the knock module was the single best thing i did for my car last year...

i was getting huge false knock counts and it was retarding a full 22 degrees through most of my powerband...we did alittle tuning after the knock mod went into clear out a few degrees of retard, and my track times decreased by atleast 3/4 of a second b/c of it...

yeh BAD AZz, when I showed it to my wife, she said, "It doesn't have AC? No way are you getting it, it doesn't even have power windows!" I love it, just knowing that it is different than 98% of the Z's that I see around. I wanted a Camaro, and couldn't pass it up for the price. You make sense. Sometimes before while slamming up throught the gears it seemed my Z was pretty doggie at high RPM's in 2nd/3rd.
Kyle..... I can't remember where I got mine, ordered on the web. Was like 27.99 or something. It was some GM dealer: GM.....com
Sorry, can't remember. Someone will chime in here. If not, do a search under LT4KM. You'll find more info than you have time for.

yeah my buddy bought a Z first, and it turned out to be a 94 6spd 1LE car and he didnt even realize what he had at first...

so when i was looking for mine, i saw it was another 94 6spd 1LE car i knew i had to have it to match his..as far as i know they are the only 2 1LEs roaming around up here...

and yeah right around 4500-5000 it would get soooo sluggish, i actually ran a 13.6 shortshifting at like 5200 and could only manage a 14-14.3 shifting at 6 grand, so i knew somethin was up...when we hooked the laptop up to it knock counts were off the charts...revvin to 6100 now with the lt4 knock mod i took over a second off those 14 second times
