LT4 intake manifold

Ok i got a port and polished lt4 intake manifold from i guy i know and i was wondering if i will see any gains in this alone from a stock lt1 intake manifold? Now the port and polish is to the max and the lt4 intake mani. was orginally on a turbo lt1. Now will my hp numbers climb alittle or will i just see better gains in with a bigger cam then the lt4 hotcam. I have a cc306 in my garage and hopefully get some good numbers out of that. Any replys with be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Zack

Re: LT4 intake manifold

won't work on LT1 heads, the ports are raised and won't line up correctly

Re: LT4 intake manifold

hmm...thanks guys. I was going to order the 195cc LT4 competetion heads from AFR but there was a 16week backorder on them. So i guess im gonna have to wait to put the intake on. Funny thing is, is that the intake worked on his lt1 p&p heads. Maybe he made so minor adjustments to the heads in the process. thanks again

Re: LT4 intake manifold

I think LT4 intakes work on LT1 heads. I almost bought a camaro that had just an LT4 intake put on stock LT1 heads, with no mods done. So it should work, it's just that you won't see any power gains from JUST the intake. It might create a bottle neck effect and give you the same as a normal stock LT1 intake. Get the LT4 heads to match the LT4 intake, then you'll notice a difference.

Re: LT4 intake manifold

ok...well im gonna wait til im ready to put the cc306 in. So by then i should have my mind made up about some Lt4 heads. So i think no matter what im gonna wait on a good pair of p&p heads. Gotta get to that 400 mark ya know

You'd think with 17 hundred posts, you would have read by now, some posts by 'Arnie' or 'Injuneer' on this subject matter. To put bluntly, you are obviously posting guesswork. Please do some homework, via searches.

It's kinda depressing, knowing some of one's posts are for naught.

Re: LT4 intake manifold

What does that link have to do with the LT4 INTAKE MANIFOLD? Answer..... nothing! Please seek/search out relative posts as requested above.

No offense, but question was addressed to 'Dave89'.... and it still stands.
