?.... Why are you compelled to swap to an LT4 intake? If your LT1 heads do not have any additional material added to them to alter the ports, there is no advantage in doing the swap.

That aside... methinks you just dont like the answers you recieved. Of course you can make it work with money & modification... the point is that it isnt worth doing.

Good luck

no dont mate the lt4 intake to lt1 heads. it would be cheaper to just buy lt4 heads which can be ported more then an lt1 head.

Plus I doubt you would find someone even able to do the task. the reason why is because the lt1 head is at a differnt angle then the lt4 intake.

thank you ... i found that out just this afternoon.sorry i was so rude earlier .maybe not all the people are like. the one's from earlier were just wanting to chatt. i'm going to just port the old one and put a bigger t.b. on it 58mm i have all the other mods ramair, k&n ,160 -stat ,built a/f 4l60/e from jasper (running a stock stall t think or maybe one up) tran. cooler,3.42 programer, gears, headers(no cat)flowmasters, ect.but now i'm in the motor the block looks real good as do the heads. i just had a lot of blow by. and a rear intake leak. i think i'll use alum. pistons and better rods a hot cam or something like that port the heads trow a t.b. on it 1.6 roller rockers and i sould have a good motor.i have springs ,17x9.5 oz racing wheels(need to replacee them with some z06 ones),shocks, struts, strut brace bar for ss. haven't taken it to the track laltey (8.93 in the 8 th of a mile before the ram air ,trany)but i havde out ran all the stock mustangs that i have raced latily and a few vetts. whenever i can find a race .. i think i'm going to put a 150 shoot of nos on aff the brake in. i was blowing so much smoke out the back i didn't want to drive it. one of my mustang buddy's talked me into this. then he broke my opti-spark after the engin was out. i'm going back in the bottom with a tuber k-member. see i have lot's of parts but can't fork the money out for the lt4 heads. if i foud some real cheap i woud grab them up in a heart beat. but we all know that's not going to happen..

sorry for the missed spelled words.. think someone could count them again.

This is one reason why people such as chrisbz28ss (and others) are so uninformed/misinformed. No idea where you are 'coming from' with that statement, but taking the words at face value, there is not a shread of truth to the above statement. Sometimes being blunt is the better way. And I thot Phil was outspoken.

Also, while is is true that I did not know for a fact that chrisbz28ss didn't intend to add material to the ports prior to any porting, I chose to play the odds, knowing most will NOT add (welding or otherwise) any additional material, which allows radical/extensive porting, and avoid breaking thru the roof in the process of doing so. This with the intent of duplicating an LT4 head intake port with the LT1 head.
