Post Lt4 Hotcam ?'s (searched B4 thread)

Well I found some answers but not all.... I was looking into the Lt4 kit and i have been reading good and bad things...moslty people opinions..Im am considering the Cc305 or the Hotcam...I hear there pretty much the same with the Cc having a little higher exhaust lift if im right?...R these cams similar and if i go with the hotcam kit what springs should i get since the springs r almost at their max...Money isnt a issue..But i guess the hotcam is the best bang for the buck..

Mods-- 4:11's, CAI,Lt's,CatBack,- 13.4- 1/4mi...

I am just lookin to c if i can get into the high 12's with the hotcam kit and minor head work..Not lookin for anything crazy seeing as this is my daily driver for now...Thanks for the help

you can get into the 12's with the hotcam kit and NO head work - just look at the dyno numbers in my sig. The LT4 springs are okay for the hotcam kit. Plenty of people are running that combo without issue (myself included). If you were piecing together a kit then something with a little more range would be desirable, but you just cannot beat that kit's price.

i would say go just a little bigger, i ran the cc305, which is a slightly bigger cam than the hotcam, and wish that i had run a bigger cam than that. the car ran very strong with that cam....some high 12.7s on street tires with no head work....just boltons, 355 bottom end, and GREAT tuning...

I am also debating on wether to go with the hotcam or the cc305. I would go bigger but I need to pass emissions. I searched and found a page with a dyno comparison between the 2 but the link was broken. Anyone have a dyno comparison with these 2 cams?

The hot cam is a good choice if you plan on driving your car everyday. I drive over 300 miles a week and get decent milage. I also run a 12.5 at 108 and dyno 323 RWHP.
