eriously, if you have headers, and get 1.6 RR's and a good tune with it, ive heard up to 45 or so HP...prolly more like 30-45 with all those. But you MUST get some headers and CAI to let that **** breathe.

Ive seen a few M6 LT Headers/Hotcam Kit/stock heads putting down between 340 - 355 rwhp....

I've got a Hotcam Kit, Jet Hot LT's, and im about ready to send my newly acquired heads/intake to Lloyd to get ported....

Im going to try and bust 365 rwhp

On a BIG SIDE NOTE, all of these 340-355 rwhp guys had dyno tune to accomodate the new mods!! (The dyno tune seems to add 15-25 rwhp)

The real question is: Will it feel like more of a SOTP increase than the LT's?

Wow, thanks for all of your responses!
I HAVE been reading a lot in here, and the only thing i haven't thought of was the headers, so i'll definitely do that.... any suggestions as to what kind? i'm 20 with a limited budget, but a lot of patience....
I probably won't have a sig until everything is done in the spring(i'll have pics when i finish...)... i don't like showing things off half done....
It's a 94Z lt1 auto....

the exterior stuff (finally done, now i can work on performance... it was taking me a while to decide what i wanted to do, so i worked on exterior first because they were easier decisions):
green, silver stripes, wings west grfx... six inch sweet spoiler (like the old z's) silver oz 17" racing wheels (275/40's in the rear)... (red "Z" and silver "28" thanks to brent franker... silver bowties and silver camaro letters) calipers are red wtih silver camaro decals, also thanks to brent. black powdercoated front grille... oh ttops and black mirrors(you know what the black mirror setup looks like)

I AM getting a hypertech programmer, would you suggest a different kind of tuning? I was just going to advance the timing a tiny bit.... i ported my MAF so i definitely need to adjust those tables too... i'll be getting a 52mm TB..... Now it sounds like the headers are a must..... already have CAI... air foil.... flowmaster/custom exhaust..... man i can't even remember a couple of things....

I was going to get the whole lt4 package... but i am going to drive the car to work.. and i am just going to WAIT for the heads and intake for when i pay the car off next year and 1/2 and rebuild the whole engine... (that means bottom end too).... so I think the cam kit is cool for now... plus, by the time i get the heads, i may even want a more aggressive cam....

ONE MORE QUESTION.... I should probably get roller lifters to complete the set right? I am already going to get some stronger pushrods... i've heard of the higher lift bending a rod or two and then the crooked rod breaks a seal and that cylinder will start burning oil that comes from the top of the head... gotta keep those babies nice and straight...

Jeez... sorry about the long reply! i have to get back to WORK! =)

From what Ive seen 14-17 hours to install everything. I would STRONGLY recommend having someone whos done it before be there with you. I had a friend try to do it alone for the first time and botched the install, he spun a cam bearing an hour after getting it done.

I know this is off-topic, but it sounds like you have an awesome father. Remember that when father's day comes around.

I see people consistantly hitting 325 RWHP with the hotcam, tune, and full exhaust. I believe that's with an M6.

I assume you meant 1.6 roller ROCKERS?
You already have roller lifters in an LT1
Tunercat is good for OBDI cars [cheaper and not VIN specific]

The kit will come with the 1.6 rockers which are actually Crane Golds. As far as the lifters, you can reuse the stock ones.
