LT4 hot cam kit Q's!!!

I have a few questions about installing a lt4 hot cam kit!!!
Am I going to have to get LT4 valve covers for clearance of the new roller rockers? what is the best timing chain to go with ( I have no idea)? what are the best push rods to buy (Iam thinking of going with comp cams chormally push rods), what size push rods do I need to get? Can anyone think of anything else I need to get in order to have the install done? Or other things that this would be a good time to change while the top end is torn down? who sells the best gaskets for an LT1?

Thanks,
Steve

Ps does anyone have some LT4 valve covers for sell???

No the stock valve covers will be just fine. The best would be a cloyes double roller but in order to go to that you would have to get rid of the CPS sensor. A set of 7.2 hardened pushrods will be just fine from what ever manufacturer. You will need intake, timing cover gaskets. A good idea would be to change the plugs and wires with them also. HTH

You'll also need an electric water pump to run the double roller.

Use stock parts for the timing gear. It's cheaper and just as reliable. Don't waste your money. I kept the stock timing equip, but replaced the chain with a new one, and rev 6300 RPM every single day, multiple times a day, and it's just fine.

You can get the LT4 Extreme duty timing chain set from Sam Taylor for $199.

Yes that's what i do.

CPS sensor is to help detect misfires and what position the crank is.

Joe does some good work for a good price. You won't be disappointed. Ask Joe about doing some minor porting on your heads. It will compliment the cam nicely.

I would think you'd hit high 12's with good traction.

Dropped one second with bolt ons

Hopefully Low 12s. Bolt ons and a 2200 stall dropped me from a 14.32 to a 13.26. Im hoping to get another second with this upgrade. The shop doing the porting shoots for good velocity and they have a flow bench. Add the cam and long tubes should add up to 75 to 80 HP.

I ended up ordering a new Opti. Should be here on Wed or Thur. It took about 45 min, start to finish, to get the Opti off . this was from car running to putting tools up. pretty good, I think. I took my old Opti apart, nothing loose but the bearing on the back seemed to move the shaft a bit. I'll see though. Quick question Joe. Does the new opti come with the cam interface (the part that goes over the dowl pin)?
