I have been searching the site for a while looking up some info on the LT4 HC. It seems that most everyone with the HC is running stock heads. Will it be too small for the ported heads or still work fine.
From what I get out of most of the posts is that the HC is practically the same as the 305, and the 306 seems a little too radical for me. My overall goal is something somewhat stealthy...you know with a nice lope but not too aggressive. Also, the car is mostly used for street driving, and it seems the power curve of the 306 is too high to do any good on the street. Any opinions?

XE 224-230 might be what you are looking for.

I am sure that you can get it on a 114 if you want it a lil more mild.
CMotorsport had a VERY inexpensive kit with the XE Comp cams, private label springs, retainers, locks AND 1.6 ROLLER ROCKERS for less than $600 at one time. I am not sure if that sale is still going on but you could do a search and find their web site or e-mail as well.

Well by the end of the year I should have my GTP Stage 2 heads dusted off & bolted on. I'll let you know then...
Really though. With a set of moderate heads the car will be strong. I've heard of A4 cars pulling around 360 - 380 RWHP with a Hot Cam & Heads. I have even heard of one M6 pulling 400.3 RWHP with Hot Cam & heads. It is still a bit to swallow but that person is a friend of mine & I did see the Dyno Sheet. There is just a debate if the Dyno was testing high....
