LT4 Fuel Rail Bolts Different

Went to hook up my happy hooker to my LT4 manifold on the new motor tonight, and the bolt holes for the fuel rails on the LT4 manifold are MUCH smaller than the LT1 manifolds that I have. What gives, anyone seen this?

Trust me, these aren't. They are WAY smaller than the bolts that I just took out of my motor that's still in the car.

I just found a spec -- M6 x 1 x 35. Weird though......both of the 93 manifolds i have sitting here are more like a 10mm bolt.

Maybe it's just the 93 that's different - I used all the '95 LT1 hardware on my LT4 manifold.

The happy hooker bolts to those tiny intake manifold bolt holes and bolts? Holy crap I'd be scared to use that....

No kidding!!! I did use them though and they hold just fine. However I had a 2" nylon strap double wrapped around it in case it didn't. I guess the total tensile strength on those 4 little bolts is enough to do the job if they are all secure and the threads are healthy. Honestly, I had to do a real gutcheck when I lifted it off the stand that way - I tested it real carefully.

So, have you used it a few times just like that?

Ok, looks like the answer popped up. Apparently the 93's were M8x1x35 and 94+ were M6x1x35. Weird. 93's got all the good stuff!

I KNOW THE FEELING! I installed my new 388 this afternoon and even with the heavy chain I was using I held my breath.
