Lt4 Conversion Kit Vs. Lt1 Ported Heads

Just a quick question. I'm rebuiding my LT1 enigne and was wondering if the LT4 conversion kit with a hot cam would be better than my LT1 heads rebuilt (ported) with a cam or should i go aftermarket with a cylinder head package with a cam. I'm also looking to do something to the lower end....new pistons, cylinder bore....any ideas....thanks!

I have read alot on this subject, and for the the money you will get WAY more power out of doing a LT1 cam and head package. CHeck out lloyd elliot a sponsor on this site. You could easily get alot more power for less money with one of his packages. Good luck

WHen I graduate in June I am going LE2 355 all forged

I would suggest doing a search because this has been discussed plenty of times. You will get lots of information that way!! Lata'

-Go with ported LT1 heads and cam

You can get a lot more bang for your buck with a lloyd elliot package, which i suggest as opposed to the LT4 conversion kit.

It all depends on your goals. The LT4 heads definitely have more potential...
