LT4 Cam swap

Hey guys, I am fixing to drop my lt-1 in my GMC Yukon. This site has helped learn alot about the engine, but I was wondering, If I went with the hotcam kit, would that be ok for a everyday driver? I see alot of you guys run them, just curious if it has a rough idle or what not, any input will be helpful thanks

I have the lt4 hot cam

In a 954 lt1 z28, I did the cam swap with a friend of mine. The idle on my car is rough...but not tolerable. It has a nice thump.
IU would get it tuned if it is gonna be a daily driver and I would most definately recommend headers, for without those, you are wasting your time.

Also., what model yuke?

What kind of tranny?

Already have custom street and performance headers on the way. That would be no problem getting the computer tuned. Would a MSD Ignition help smooth out the idle? It is going in a 95 dr yukon, 11" lift, 38" tires. 460loe or whatever tranny.
