LT4 for a 93?
LT4 for a 93?
LT4 conversion kit with the whole setup, LT4 heads, cam and intake says 94-97, but ive also heard if you change the fuel rails on a 93 you can also put them on 93's.
my 93 Z has Hooker LTs, mufflex 3", pulleys, chip, CAI. Also thinking about CNC heads instead of LT4 even though they are a little more expensive. CNC's seem to make more HP and wouldnt need to be ported for my power desires. (500hp
)

why would you want to do an lt4 swap?
for the money you would spend on that, you can do a far better heads/cam package.
Port the lt1 heads, and drop in a cc305/306 or xe 230/236 and you are all set. =)

I agree, port your existing heads and get a nice cam, it will be less expensive and give you more power. The LT4 motor is a nice motor, but even with the hotcam it will only make 330-360RWHP depending on your exhaust system. For me, the hotcam only would be great since I already have the LT4 motor and wouldn't have to change anything else, but for you I'd go with something like the CC305/6.

personally id rather have a Corvette Grand Sport LT4 if it were up to me, but thats just my opinion. Corvette is faster and has better straightline and circle performance. I guess its cool to be a collectors item, but then you'll never wanna sell it.
Two main reasons for getting rid of the Z06 for the LT4 Firehawk.
1) I needed a car with a back seat for our two daughters. I was getting really tired of either having to take two cars, or always taking the wife's Acura when we went somewhere as a family.
2) The LT4 Firehawk is way rarer than a Z06. GM made roughly 6000 Z06s in 2001, and increased production to around 10,000/year after that. That will leave a total C5 Z05 count of around 35,000 cars. When we lived in town (we just moved), I used to see 3 or 4 of them every day!!
As far as power and handling, the Z06 has definitely got it right out of the box. Brought up to 02 standards (intake, !MAF, !pre-cats), my 01 was making 350RWHP. And it would definitely outhandle a stock f-body without trying hard. However, it's pretty much a finished package. Yes, you can upgrade cams, heads and put headers on, but why? The car is so good to begin with it really doesn't make sense to mess with it. The Firehawk on the other hand, will be a lot of fun to mod. And before anyone says it, yes I will keep ALL stock parts so it can be put back to original if I ever decide to sell it (not likely). I really kicked myself for the longest time for selling my 95 Formula, but this car is basically a similar setup just a LOT better.
My plan for the Firehawk is fix the ECM (worth an easy 20RWHP), and then add a cam and some shorty/mid-length headers. One of the other LT4 Firehawk owners put down 360RWHP with ECM, CC306 and long tubes, so I'm hoping to shoot for around 340-350 with shorty/mids. I'd do the long tubes, but I don't feel like loosing the clearance under the car. Then I'll probably do the full suspension to optimize it for roadcourse use. By that time maybe I'll be able to afford a third car and get another Vette (although I'll probably go for a C4, maybe a Grand Sport).
