i have a 97 lt1 formula that i had some problems with about 2 months ago and found it to be the rotor in the opti cam lose and exploded i replaced opti and coil and ignition module with all brand new gm car ran great drove it to in from work for a couple weeks and found out i hade to sell it to pay bills. so its been sitting and then the other day i went to drive it to my parents to sitt it for fall carlise and when i whent to do a little last burn out it shut off
i have fuel and i have spark at the coil but none at the plugs and also the coil to opti wire arks like craz i made another test wire out or a set of wires and it did the same thing what would make it ark like that


DO I NEED ANOTHER OPTI ???????

Maybe a crack in the coil tower part of the opti? Can you see where the arch is coming from precisely?

 

the arc is coming from every were from ends of wire and in middle of wire and i have tryed 2 wires with smae result i guess ill have to check the opti rotor again
