Post LT1 vs. LS1

I was driving home today from school and looked in my rear view mirror and saw a 98-02 camaro z28 come roaring by. Soon we came to a stop at a light. when green hit, we both took off. he beat me, but not by much. i let off the gas around 80 mph and he keep going. so can't really tell how many car lengths. Can anyone tell me how much faster is a stock LS1 compared to a stock LT1. Or does anyone have any experience they would like to share. thanks

If there is anything to share, it should be shared in the lounge. Post your question there. This is a tech forum.

Amen.

If you do a search you'l see that there have been quite a few opinions tossed around in regards to this subject. Even in LS1 Tech.
