Question LT1 undercar ram air scoop, any good??

I've seen some people make a ram air scoop that goes underneat the nose of the car, and it directs air into the box that the filter is in if you have a cold air kit.

Does anyone know if this is worth it?? I have looked at the guide that shows what to do, and it seems very simple. I'm just looking for some decent things to try out, I am about to finish my last final at school and will have lots of free time. Has anyone done this?? Is it worth it??

just yesterday i performed this mod on my friends 1994 3.4l camaro. took me about a 3 hours and the only cost was a 4 dollar 24x12 in sheet of aluminum. ive never drove his camaro before we did it but he said he could tell a difference after we put it on. also we cut a triangular hole in the bottom of his airbox, temperary until he gets a bent manderel pipe and a k&n cone filter to replace that airbox. ill post some pics as soon as i get them.

Here is a pic of mine. It's a plastic dryer vent (Home Depot) just cut out the pipe connection section inside it, painted it black (came white) and attached with four screws. I didn't notice any huge difference after it but every little bit helps

When I had my 97 SS I picked up a tenth and 1mph with a scoop under my K&N fipk.

GTS headlight covers were also worth some time.

I removed the bottom of my airbox completely...that whole flat plastic piece under the car that goes from the front of the air dam to the inner fender. This open my filter up to as much as air as it could possibly even need. Then I gut the last 6 inches or so off the air dam since there is nothing there that needs air, and bolted it right back on under where the old plastic piece met the bottom of the inner fender. The holes lined up perfectly. This helps direct a little more air up at the filter...
Then I just had to remount the front part of the inner fender to the outer fender. this was easy using the left over bolt clips in the plastic piece I removed and some of th bolts themselves. Looks clean. and you won't get any more air than that to the filter
