LT1 tech

I have recently purchased a 1993 camaro z28 and am curious as to what everyone would consider to be the best combination of parts/modifications that would yield the best performance for under $1000. The car is an auto and is completely stock. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks!

Try the search option for a lot of replies, this is a frequently asked question. And welcome to the board.

Congrads on getting the car. Have fun building it up its a blast. I would say these for starters.

Headers: Same as below.
Cat Back: exhaust system
Cold Air Intake (CAI) connects from throttle body to air filter.

Any other info. click the search button you will find just about anything you want to know about these cars. Good website to look at and save is Click the link below.

Those would be

Cold Air Intake
Sub Frame Connectors
and Lower Control Arms

my fault

SFC = subframe connectors...connects the front/rear subframe, helps to reduce rattles, strenghtens up the chassis and such.

CAI = Cold Air Induction, stock intake is pretty restrictive, CAI will help the engine breath

LCA = Lower Control arms, helps with traction and prevents wheel hop.

they're just some supporting mods for future upgrades like cam/headers/stall converter.

Nitrous is about the best HP per dollar mod out there, not considering the free mods...
